Microsoft launched its first feature update for 2020. It is named as Windows 10 version 20H1 the update is available for users in April 2020 however it is already available for Windows insiders we have it, and we have compiled some prominent features of Windows 10 version 20H1 note that all these features are available in the insider preview version Microsoft may remove some of these features before the actual release.

Virtual desktops :

With Windows 10 20H1 version you can rename the virtual desktops, you can click on the header to rename it or right-click on the desktop to get a renamed context menu

Cortana :

Microsoft has changed Cortana a lot with its Windows 10 20H1 update you can now move and resize the Cortana interface now it has a chat-based interface however there is a significant drawback to Cortana now can't control the music smart home control and other third-party apps. However productive skills such as opening or sending an email setting a reminder are improved now you can even join and set up a meeting through Cortana.

Tablet mode :

The tablet mode is redesigned it is now more touch-friendly they have increased the spacing between the icons in the taskbar the search box is converted into the icon whenever you touch any text field the keyboard automatically appears.

Task manager :

Task manager is now updated to show detailed hardware information you can check the dedicated GPU temperature if you have multiple hard drives the task manager now displays HDD or SDD in the details tab you can now see the feedback option.

Update and recovery settings :

If you are on a limited data network you can limit the bandwidth for downloading the update with the Windows 10 spring update not in just percentage, but you can enter the bandwidth in numbers the recovery option also receives a significant change earlier when you had to recover the PC you had to download the ISO or create a bootable device now you can reinstall or repair the windows from the cloud.

Notepad :

Notepad is a handy app in Windows 10 yet doesn't get much attention with the updates. However, with Windows 10 20H1 update they have improved it a little bit now it is available on the Microsoft Store so that it will receive frequent updates now you can see the line number and column if you enable the word wrap if you select a text and press CTRL + F button the selected text automatically appears in the fine box, I wish that they would include the word count in the notepad.

Snip and sketch :

Microsoft is disabling the snipping tool and giving full charge to snip and sketch it has improved and is now available in a single-window mode.

Lock screen :

In the previous version of Windows 10, you need to enter the password while logging in safe mode but with the Windows 10 20H1 update they are giving the option to enter the pin for the safe mode also this allows you to disable the password entirely from Windows 10 now when you update the profile picture it gets updated on all platforms more quickly.

Mouse cursor speed :

Now mouse cursor speed is available in the settings earlier, it was in the control panel.

Language settings :

The new language setting is improved to make it easier to understand how you give an overview of Windows display apps and website regional format keyboard and spoken languages.

Microsoft Defender :

For this new update Microsoft is renaming its security product earlier it was Windowed Defender and now it is renamed as Microsoft Defender it may be because Microsoft is planning to launch it for cross-platform.

Troubleshooters :

The troubleshooter window now does not contain the list of Troubleshooters that you can apply for fixing Windows 10 it is now available on additional Troubleshooters.

Optional features :

With Windows 10 version 2004 you will be getting an updated optional feature now you can easily add multiple optional features at the same time.

Windows search improvement :

Windows search has now become more intelligent it can detect and correct the small typos in search queries which previously it could not, it will also show better suggestions now when you type something on the search bar.

Changes in settings :

With the latest update Microsoft has made few changes in the settings window the header is updated with a new message gets even more out of windows it contains options to set OneDrive to link your phone and able timeline and more.

Text cursor settings :

Microsoft always does something to make its ease of access better in every update this time they have included the option to increase and add custom color text cursors.

Narrator :

The narrator is also updated with a new setting to change how capitalized text is read the options are don't announce increase pitch and say cap there is an experimental feature on having the narrator more efficient and outlook you will see the option to get more descriptions page titles and popular links with this option turned on you can get information about images, and URLs by using the narrator key which is usually the caps lock button + CTRL + the d button you can use the narrator key + s button to get the list of popular links for a web page.
